The new bikes launched -- 'Bullet Electra 5 S' and a new variant of its cruiser 'Thunderbird' - are part of the company's celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of Royal Enfield in India, the company's sales and marketing director, S Vaitheeswaran, said.
The base model of Bullet Electra is priced at Rs 69,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), while the Thunderbird is priced at Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
He said the company wants to own the power bike segment in India. "At the moment, we cannot say for sure whether we will start manufacturing bikes above 500 cc, but we are certainly looking at it as a potential market over the next few years." - PTI
