While TCS, ITC, CIL, HDFC Bank and Sun Pharma saw losses in their valuation, ONGC, RIL, Infosys, SBI and ICICI Bank made gains.
The market capitalisation of TCS plunged by Rs 18,911.52 crore (Rs 189.11 billion) to Rs 5,24,772.61 crore (Rs 5,247.72 billion).
ITC's m-cap tanked by Rs 8,691.94 crore (Rs 86.91 billion) to Rs 2,81,610.82 crore (Rs 2,816.1 billion), while Sun Pharma lost Rs 8,626.15 crore (Rs 86.26 billion) to Rs 1,69,582 crore (Rs 1,695.82 billion).
The valuation of CIL fell by Rs 6,000.55 crore (Rs 60 billion) to Rs 2,11,313.97 crore (Rs 2,113.13 billion) and HDFC Bank lost Rs 289.72 crore (Rs 2.89 billion) to Rs 2,09,309.66 crore (Rs 2,093.09 billion).
On the other hand, RIL's value moved up by Rs 10,834.71 crore (Rs 108.34 billion) to Rs 3,10,584.25 crore (Rs 3,105.84 billion), while that of ICICI Bank rose by Rs 3,673.42 crore (Rs 36.73 billion) to Rs 1,68,967.23 crore (Rs 1,689.67 billion).
Infosys saw its m-cap climb Rs 2,397.43 crore (Rs 23.97 billion) to Rs 2,23,317.57 crore (Rs 2,233.17 billion), SBI (Rs 2,112.8 crore or Rs 21.12 billion to Rs 1,83,007.46 crore or Rs 1,830.07 billion) and ONGC (Rs 1,582.77 crore or Rs 15.82 billion to Rs 3,46,069.58 crore or Rs 3,460.69 billion).
In the ramking of top-10 firms, TCS was at number one position followed by ONGC, RIL, ITC, Infosys, CIL, HDFC Bank, SBI, Sun Pharma and ICICI Bank.
