Telecom major Tata Teleservices said it will offer comic books on mobile handsets to Tata DOCOMO subscribers.
The service is being offered in collaboration with Zero-Sum Wireless Solutions with content ranging to about 2,000 titles, the company said in a statement.
The content include mythological tales and characters like 'Supandi', 'Mickey Mouse', 'Winnie the Pooh' and 'Princess Diaries' from Disney, it added.
Users will be able to read full comics books on their mobile handsets, along with special effects like character vibration, sounds etc.
"We are delighted to be the first operator in India to offer full comic books to all our customers. Comix-on-the-go is just one of the many more such services we will be rolling out in the days to come," TTSL assistant vice president (VAS–New Products) Zubin Jimmy Dubash said.
