Canadian handset major BlackBerry on Wednesday said its BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 have been gaining a strong presence in India.
Over 1,000 companies in India have either adopted or tested BES 10 since its launch last year, it said.
The company has been struggling in the highly competitive smartphone market globally.
It said in a release that "BlackBerry has a strong market position in India where the company has seen more than 1,000 Indian enterprises adopting or testing BES 10 since its launch in January 2013."

in India as part of their mobile strategy shows their commitment to the BlackBerry solution, which is recognised as the gold standard in security for Enterprise Mobility Management, it added.
"The enterprise market continues to grow in India and holds immense untapped potential for BlackBerry, especially in sectors like retail, insurance, banking, healthcare, construction and professional services," BlackBerry India managing director Sunil Lalvani said.
BES 10 offers a single, unified management console to manage iOS, Android and BlackBerry smartphones, he added.
The company's enterprise clients include ITC ltd, India Bulls, The 3C Company, Emcure Pharmaceuticals among others.
