IBM's Jeff Sage joins Tata Tech

Tata Technologies has appointed Jeffrey D Sage as its chief operating officer at Pune, the company said in a press release.

Sage was with IBM as its global solutions executive (automotive) in Detroit.

He brings with him 28 years of industry and technical knowledge spanning five continents in services delivery working for companies like IBM, and automotive OEM knowledge having worked for General Motors.

He will be instrumental in positioning Tata Technologies within the global automotive community, the release said.

Sage, Tata Technologies said, led the team that designed the award-winning Mercedes-Benz M-Class Greenfield operation in Vance, Alabama and was a core member of IBM's global automotive leadership team.

"Jeff brings a refreshing level of energy and perspectives into our company that can only enhance our automotive offers in engineering, design and the IT business systems that support the core automotive environment," says Patrick McGoldrick, Managing Director, Tata Technologies, in a statement.

Tata Technologies Limited is headquartered in Pune and has offices in the Untied States, Europe and the Asia-Pacific.
