The Union Cabinet on Thursday gave its approval to establish a special purpose vehicle for funding infrastructure projects.
The SPV will be known as The India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited, Information and Broadcasting Minister S Jaipal Reddy said.
It would be a 100 per cent state-owned company, he told reporters after the CCEA meeting in New Delhi.
