PepperTap lets you shop for vegetables, dairy, snacks et al from the comfort of your couch
When I used to watch Jane Jetson, from the futuristic cartoon The Jetsons, shop for groceries by pressing some buttons, I used to wonder whether I'd be able to do that someday.
Now, that has become a reality. With almost every service going mobile, grocery shopping is perhaps the latest entrant into the wide world of mobile apps.
PepperTap is one such app. This app lets you shop for vegetables, dairy, snacks et al from the comfort of your couch.
With a simplistic user interface, one can select what items one needs and then get it delivered to a desired location.
The app guarantees delivery within two hours.
For orders less than Rs 250, a delivery charge of Rs 50 is levied.
However, PepperTap is not the only grocery app out there.
Apps like Local Banya and Grofer are competing for the space as well. Local Banya provides a more interactive shopping experience where the user selects the item and drags it to a shopping card.
It also has a more diverse range of products than PepperTap and Grofer.
The latter gives the option of buying products from different stores near you. You can either select a store or a product and the app lets you know how much time it will take to deliver.
All these apps accept both cash on delivery and online payment.
