Air Sahara on Thursday announced that it would launch its international operations between April and July and change its colour to orange, white, green and blue from Friday.

The private sector carrier, which has recently been allowed to operate to Southeast Asia and Britain, was looking at A-330 and A-340 from Airbus Industrie and B-777s from Boeing for its long-haul operations and a final decision would be taken soon, its CEO Rono J Dutta told reporters in New Delhi.

The airline on Thursday inducted a new Boeing 737-400 and was expecting to acquire five more aircraft in the next two months, he said, adding these would comprise four new generation aircraft and a 'classic' one.

Dutta said Air Sahara would from tomorrow become a more colourful carrier changing its red and blue colour to orange, white, green and blue, keeping in mind its international operations and the fact that it has been designated as a national flag-bearer.

The logo and the dress code for cabin crew and other staff would also be changed, he said.
