Air Sahara fare to Hyderabad at Rs 2222

In a move aimed at promoting its aviation hub in Hyderabad, Air Sahara on Thursday announced new pricing schemes for its flights to the city.

As per the new pricing scheme, all direct flights to Hyderabad and from the city to any part of the country will cost only Rs 2, 222 in the economy class.

"We are aiming to promote our hub in Hyderabad. This will go a long way in that direction. This will be the cheapest connection from cities like Delhi. This fare will be applicable to all connections to and from Hyderabad," said Alok Sharma, vice president, marketing, Air Sahara. The scheme will be applicable for bookings starting today for any travel between February 3, 2005 and April 30, 2005.

According to Sharma, "This move will help customers a huge saving in terms of airfare."

A normal Delhi-Hyderabad ticket costs Rs 9,550, while a 21-day apex fare costs Rs 4, 700. Compared to this, a Delhi-Hyderabad direct ticket on Air Sahara during the offer period will cost only Rs 2, 222.

In the Mumbai - Hyderabad sector, the normal economy class ticket would cost Rs 5,380, Kolkotta-Hyderabad is Rs 8,239 and Chennai -Hyderabad would cost Rs 5,080. The Chennai-Hyderabad sector, the normal economy class ticket costs Rs 5,080.

Air Sahara has recently announced it move to make Hyderabad its hub for its air services operations.

The airline is of the view that this move will help it considerably in achieving operational efficiency.
