The earnings registered during this period stood at Rs 1,28,928.28 crore as against Rs 1,14,428.52 crore during the same period in the previous year.
The total goods earnings during April-January period were Rs 87,291.87 crore compared to Rs 77,694.07 crore during the same period last year, showing an increase of 12.35 per cent, according to Railway Ministry data.
The earnings from passengers during this period was Rs 35,309.81 cr compared to Rs 30,723.44 cr during the same period last year, registering a growth of 14.93 percent.
The earnings from others amounted to Rs 3,353.26 cr during the 10-month period compared to Rs 3,179.49 cr during the same period last year, registering an increase of 5.47 per cent.
The total number of passengers during this period was 6,923.95 million compared to 6,962.92 million during the same period last year, showing a decrease of 0.56 per cent.
