Car market leader Maruti Suzuki on Monday launched refreshed version of its popular compact sedan Dzire with introductory prices ranging from Rs 5.07 lakh to Rs 7.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Besides new styling, comfort and convenience features, the new DZire offers enhanced fuel efficiency, the company said in a statement.
The diesel variant offers fuel economy of 26.59 kmpl, up by around 13 per cent (from the previous version), while the petrol version has fuel efficiency of 20.85 kmpl, an improvement of 9 per cent, it added.
The diesel option has a 1.3 litre engine and is tagged at Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 7.81 lakh, while the petrol variant is powered by a 1.2 litre engine and is priced between Rs 5.07 lakh and Rs 6.8 lakh, (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
MSI Executive Director Marketing & Sales R S Kalsi said the launch is part of the company's effort to refresh existing models.

The new Dzire will also have premium features, including engine push start/stop system, reverse parking sensors, new motion alloy wheels and Bluetooth with audio.
One of the most popular sedans, the Dzire has sold 9.12 lakh units in India since the launch in 2008. In 2012, the model underwent a full change. It has been the best selling entry level sedan for the last three years.
