7 reasons why Maruti Ciaz is better than other sedans

September 17, 2014

Maruti Ciaz is the longest and widest car in its segment. Not only does this make the car more spacious, but it actually makes it look like a car from a segment above.

This is the third time around that Maruti Suzuki has tried its luck with the midsize sedan market in India.

Their first two attempts never took off the way they were expected.

The Baleno, although one of the best handling cars in it segment (still used in INRC) was overshadowed by the mighty Honda City and the SX4 had really very little going for it in any prospective.

So with the Ciaz, Maruti aims for a comeback in one of the hottest contested segments in the country today and here are 10 of the features that makes the Ciaz stand out from its competition.

Efficiency

Maruti has kept things in the known territory with the 1.4-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel powerplants that have been taken from their previous cars.

While the petrol motor get the job done gives a healthy 20.7kmpl the diesel is the jewel in the crown, fetching 26.4kmpl, easily the highest efficiency in its class.

Cabin Space

Unlike other Maruti cars that have seen the light of day, the Ciaz has the roomiest cabin till date.

The backseat legroom is highest in class even for 6 foot plus individuals.

There are rear AC vents and a power outlet at the back too.

Looks and feels a segment above

The Ciaz is the longest and widest car in its segment.

Not only does this make the car more spacious, but it actually makes it look like a car from a segment above.

Projector headlights

Arguably the “segments first” car to sport projector headlights standard throughout the range of models.

The Hyundai Verna is the only car that sport projector headlights in this segments, but offers it only in their top end variants.

Boot Space

The Ciaz has the largest boot in its segment.

At 510 litres it once again puts the car in a league about its segment.

Maruti Service and Reliability

Buying a Maruti is like buying piece of mind.

There is tremendous value in their vehicles and you are always never more than a few mile away from a authorized service centre, no matter which end of the country you live in.

Resale

One of the strongest factors attached with Maruti cars is their resale value.

They attract the least amount of depreciation and would give you most of your money back when its finally time to part ways with them.
