Minister to give 1,000 free mobiles to BPLs

Minister of State for IT and Communications Sachin Pilot would distribute 1,000 mobile handsets with BSNL connections to below poverty line families near Jaipur on Thursday, according to a BSNL official.

"Under the corporate-social responsibilities, BSNL will provide 1,000 mobiles with connections free to BPL families in Phagi town of the district.

"Pilot as chief guest would distribute the mobiles," RK Goyal, assistant RPT assistant general manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, said on Wednesday.

"State Food and Civil Supply Minister Babu Lal Naagar would also attend the function at government senior secondary school in the town," he added.
