The petrol pump dealers, under the aegis of the Federation of All India Petroleum Traders, are demanding five per cent margin on invoice value, revised MDG-2005, pending submission of report by the Indian Institute of Petroleum, providing marker testing equipment and appointment of an appellate authority.
Federation Secretary Ajay Bansal said the issues raised by them have been long-standing and the government has so far ignoring their demands.
''We do not want to cause any inconvenience to the people but the government is forcing us to do so... If the demands are not met we will go on an indefinite strike on April 28,'' he added.
