GPS India, the dealer for Garmin International Inc products in the country, has launched iQue 3600, a PDA (personal digital assistant) with GPS navigation technology.
The new iQue 3600 targets business travellers and tourists. The device that combines the organisation and navigation functions is based on the Palm OS 5 platform.
It is available for Rs 55,000.
The PDA not only helps users to look up an address or an appointment time on the screen, it also facilitates locating hotels or places of tourist interest on the hand held device. Similarly, entertainment locations in each city as well as locating unfamiliar addresses in a foreign city is now made possible.
The iQue bagged the prestigious "Best of Innovations" Award in the Mobile Office category of the Innovations 2003 Design & Engineering Showcase competition at the International Consumer Electronics Show.
