Lenovo on Wednesday launched the new ThinkCentre E Series line of desktop PCs designed specifically to meet the technology needs of small businesses - ease, affordability and reliability.

For the first time, ThinkCentre E50 desktops from Lenovo will offer small business users a simple combination of proven core technologies in a new silver-accented design, with prices starting at Rs 17, 690.

Offering new levels of ease and affordability, the ThinkCentre E50 desktops from Lenovo address small business priorities by providing trusted hardware and technologies that are easy to use and available to meet quick delivery requirements.

Using standard technologies as building blocks for success, Lenovo E Series desktops can help small companies focus on growth by eliminating the hassle of complex configurations or cumbersome technology solutions that often require the support of an IT staff.

"It's important for small businesses to focus on company growth in order to succeed. Using complex information technology solutions should not be an impediment," said Neeraj Sharma, managing director, Lenovo South Asia.

"Lenovo has developed the ThinkCentre E Series line of desktops to offer small business professionals technology and peace of mind. We want to reduce the IT hassles small businesses face by providing basic PC functionality for the ultimate ease-of-use experience."

The new ThinkCentre E50 tower and small desktop PCs come equipped with the Intel 915GV Chipset with GMA 900 graphics and the SISr 661FX Chipset, with AGP Support respectively with Linux support.

Both tower and small desktop PCs are available with Pentiumr 4 and Celeron Dr processors and six USB 2.0 ports, including two located on the front of the PC for convenient access.

Toolless-entry covers further enhance the simplicity of the ThinkCentre E50 desktops by allowing users to easily access select components for quick repairs or upgrades, without the need for external service or support.

Lenovo is the world's third-largest personal computing company, with a business model built on innovation, operational efficiency and investment in emerging markets.
