According to leading job portal Monster.com, since the start of this year, online recruitment has registered consistent consistent improvement as compared to the year ago period.
"There is a great deal of overall sanguinity around the new government to revive the economic momentum and constructing an investment friendly environment enabling creation of new jobs," Monster.com Managing Director (India, Middle-East, South East Asia) Sanjay Modi said.
However, on a month-on-month basis, the index remained unchanged in May over April. The Monster.Com employment index rose by 24 points (19 per cent) to 151 in May, from 127 in the same period last year, signalling that employers are optimistic about their hiring plans.
