Oil companies have stockpiled over 40 days of petroleum products and 15 days of crude oil supplies to meet eventualities of supplies being disrupted in case of war in Iraq, petroleum secretary B K Chaturvedi said on Wednesday.
"Oil companies have topped their tanks. The stockpile of crude and product is sufficient to meet country's demand for two months," he told reporters in New Delhi.
Chaturvedi said current crude oil prices were too high and the country would want the prices to come down to the levels of $20 a barrel.
