Renault Nissan alliance to set up new centre

The Renault Nissan alliance announced on Thursday the creation of new business centre by the name of The Renault Nissan Technology and Business Centre India Private Ltd in Chennai.

Both partners would have equal 50-50 share in the joint venture and the centre is designed to support a wide range of engineering and business services for Renault and Nissan

facilities around the world, a joint statement of the both companies said.

After the completion, the new business centre would provide services including product and manufacturing engineering, purchasing,design,cost management and information systems development. By 2010, the centre would have a workforce of more than 15,00 employees, it added.
