The acquisition of CDA Contracts was completed by Indsur Group through its UK-headquartered arm Indsur Nevron Eurotherm Ltd.
CDA Contracts, which has been specialising in industrial processes, energy, chemical and other sectors for the past over 15 years, marks the second acquisition by Indsur Group in the UK, the first being Nevron Eurothem Insulation in October 2012, now called Indsur Nevron Eurotherm Limited.
The announcement of the acquisition coincides with the launch of Indsur Nevron's new UK headquarters, located at India Buildings in Liverpool.
"Indsur is a global group and it is a great pleasure to welcome them in the city. I look forward to working closely with them to help develop their operations within Liverpool and the UK.
"I am delighted at the prospects of future jobs that Indsur will bring in the city," said Gary Millar, the Lord Mayor of Liverpool.
The acquisition of CDA Contracts is aimed at enhancing Indsur's competitiveness throughout the UK, according to Terry Cavanagh, Managing Director of Indsur (UK), who also hinted at further acquisitions.
The launch event concluded with the installation of state-of-the-art equipment at the company's metal fabrication facility at its manufacturing plant at Wirral in north-west England.
Ankur Lodha, Director of Indsur Group and Indsur Nevron, said: "The latest modernisation is a part of a long-term strategy to substantially invest effort and resources on modernisation and continual improvement.
Indsur Group is a Rs 475 crore ( Rs 4.75 billion) diversified business headquartered in Mumbai.
The Group has a presence across various industry sectors such as steel castings, forging, auto components, thermal engineering, pipes for oil and natural gas etc, with manufacturing facilities located in India and several other countries.
