Levi Strauss & Co. said it was looking at doubling its revenues in the next three years and would set up more manufacturing bases to meet the growing demand.

"Levis brand is growing at around 60 per cent. With growth we have to consider capacity augmentation. We are exploring setting up more manufacturing bases both in the northern and southern parts of India," Shumone Jaya Chatterjee, country manager, Levi Strauss India, said.

"We will go wherever we get the best expertise and resources to support our growth," he added. On the company's expansion plans in India, he said Levis would open another 150 exclusive Levis Strauss stores across the country taking the total to 206 from the present 56.

"We hope to double our revenues in next three years on the back of more product launches and increased sales," he added.

"A new range, Levis Strauss Signature, will hit the market this year end. This will be a cheaper range aimed at the teenagers," he said on the sidelines of the "relaunch" of Dockers brand in India with its 'Never Iron' 100 per cent cotton pants.

"Dockers also will open around 30 exclusive stores in eight key cities by next summer. In the next two years we plan to expand further," Shyam Sukhramani, Dockers Brand Head said.

Dockers brand was sought to be sold by Levi Strauss last year. Though there were a "lot of buyers", the company didn't get the "right one".

Meanwhile, things started turning around dramatically for the company in the US and other markets, and it was decided to retain the brand, he said.
