ISB launches global executive programme

The Indian School of Business has launched a global executive management programme in association with leading global business schools.

The innovative programme is specially designed for senior executives looking to globalise their companies and participants would be drawn from India and other emerging markets around the world, ISB Associate Dean Shyam Viswanathan said on Monday.

The programme MYGLOBE is a collaboration by ISB with INSEAD, Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Athens Laboratory of Business Administration, Athens, FDC, Brazil, Lahore Institute of Management Sciences, Lahore and University of Witwatersrand (WITS).

Amitava Chattopadhyay, programme director and professor of marketing at INSEAD, said the international scope of the programme allows participants to gain multifunctional, multinational perspective on the challenges of globalisation.

Viswanathan said that ISB was speaking with Lahore Institute of Management Sciences for certain executive level programmes but the talks were at a preliminary stage.

He said the ISB class of 2003 had received about 222 offers and the average Indian salary offered was Rs 830,000, while the highest offer received was Rs 1.8 million.

The highest International offer was $103,333, he added.
