If tickets are booked through credit cards, the app charges only 1.8 per cent of the total amount, which is cheaper compared to other portals, says the IRCTC.

“Now we have gone a step further to provide the facility on Android-based mobile sets. Our server is very fast, and tickets can be booked for both domestic and international destinations round the clock,” Dr A K Manocha, chairman and managing director, IRCTC.
The mobile app, developed in-house, stores a passenger’s previous flight searches and booking history that can easily be retrieved. The IRCTC also has a 24/7 customer support service.
