Tata AIG General Insurance on Tuesday launched a new scheme -- Green Channel Settlement -- to make vehicle accident repairs and claims easier for consumers.

The new scheme also offers a warranty on accident repairs to all customers having Tata AIG's auto insurance.

"We aim to provide integrated and seamless auto insurance and auto insurance claim solutions to all our 'Auto Secure' customers. This initiative will make not just buying auto insurance policy a risk-mitigation exercise, but vehicle repair and claim settlement will become hassle-free and time-saving," Tata AIG Managing Director Dalip Verma said while launching the scheme.

Customers having a Tata AIG auto secure insurance policy can get free-pick up of their vehicles from their doorstep and obtain repairing facilities at any of the 100 company-accredited garages, among other things.

The scheme also offers priority to Tata AIG customers at auto garages or repairs, free detailing and cleaning of customer's cars after repair.

There will be no submission or deduction towards salvage in partial losses and customers can directly pay at auto garages, except for depreciation and excesses.

Customers would also get a warranty on accident repairs by auto restore garages.

Tata AIG has tied up with reputed garages all over the country, so that your vehicle is repaired quickly within a reasonable budget, says the Tata AIG Web site.

Tata AIG also recognises safe driving history and reduces the premium payable, if no claim is reported in a year. You can get this discount. The car insurer can avail of this even if he was previously insured with another insurer, and has accumulated no claim bonuses.
