The top destination countries for the airport in April included India with a total of 6,72,557 passengers, followed by the UK (4,19,053) and Saudi Arabia (4,05,695), an official statement said.
Doha with a total of 2,07,146 passengers was the top destination city for passengers followed by London (2,01,587) and Jeddah (1,51,517), it added.
As around more than five million passengers passed through the airport for the fifth consecutive month, the Dubai International airport is now the second busiest in the world for international traffic.
The airport handled 5,418,946 passengers in April, an 18.7 per cent increase compared to 4,566,673 during the same period in 2012.
