Gift shops on mobile phones
October 27, 2005 18:53 IST
Cellular service provider Hutch on Thursday launched a novel concept of a 'Gift Shop' being made available on mobile phones, enabling Hutch subscribers to send gifts to friends and family located anywhere in India.

Subscribers can pay for gifts through credit cards, Itz cash card or through the Federal Bank Direct Debit Option, making it a truly convenient and fun way to celebrate this Diwali.

Using the Voice Response facility, Hutch subscribers can easily avail the 'Hutch Gift Shop' facilities.  Some of the gifts available on the list include 'Bunty Aur Bubbly' DVDs, 10 gms - pure silver coin in velvet pouch, delicious star shape kaju katli in a cane tray, cadbury celebration caramels and DVD Player with speakers.

For subscribers using the 'Hutch Gift Shop' for the first time, a Hutch executive calls for delivery details once the gift is selected. Others can choose a delivery address that was listed while registering or can ask for a change in address.

On acceptance of the order by the merchant, subscribers get an SMS with order number. Hutch is also offering special Diwali contents on HutchWorld.
