Top-level reshuffle at HSBC India

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd on Thursday announced several top-level executive moves and new assignments for its India operations.

Naina Lal Kidwai, vice chairman and managing director of HSBC Securities and Capital Markets India Pvt Ltd, has been named deputy chief executive officer of the bank, HSBC said in a release in Mumbai.

Kidwai's new role, which she takes on immediately, would be in addition to her existing responsibilities as head of the corporate and investment banking operations, it said.

Simen Munter, deputy CEO of HSBC in Turkey, would take up the post of chief operating officer in India, while Nancy Dickinson, senior manager (operations) for HSBC Electronic Data Processing India Pvt Ltd, would take over from Richard Groves as regional head northern India.

Groves is moving to HSBC, Oman as its CEO.

HSBC has also named Subir Mehra, former head of non-resident Indian (NRI) services and delivery channels, as head of the bank's commercial banking business.

Satish Janardhanan, previously manager of the information technology unit, is now the head of information technology.

Puneet Chaddha, previously head of custody and clearing for India, has become head of the bank's cards business.

Vikramaaditya, formerly senior product manager for payments and cash management, is now head of custody and clearing.

Ravininder Singh, formerly head of corporate banking for western India, is now head of corporate banking in the country.
