General Motors India reported on Monday a 43 per cent increase in sales during June on the back of its newly-launched Chevrolet Spark.
The company sold 4,779 units in June this year as against 3,346 units in the corresponding month of the previous year, GM India said in a statement.
The sales comprise 1,504 units of hatchback Chevrolet Spark, 1,550 units of multi-utility vehicle Tavera, 1,227 units of Aveo/Aveo U-VA and 498 units of sedan Optra, it said.
"With ever increasing demand of the popular Chevrolet brand, GM India has been registering a consistent surge in the monthly sales,"
GM India Vice President P Balendran said.
