Foley Designs making 10 new mobile handsets

Product designing and consulting firm Foley Designs said on Tuesday it is developing 10 new mobile handset models for its client base, which includes the likes of electronics goods maker DMobili.

The company has a wide-ranging client base spanning across consumer durables to retail groups like ITC, UB Group and WalMart. It is also in the process of designing various white goods for its clients in the consumer durable industry.

"We are currently developing a range of consumer products. Our main focus will be in the mobile segment and we are working on 10 new models this year," Foley Designs Managing Director Michael Foley told PTI on the sidelines of a retail

summit organised by consultancy firm Technopak.

He said the company is currently holding talks with electronics goods maker DMobili for mobile handsets, which would be supplied to mobile companies at a later stage.

Foley Designs' client list also includes ITC Group, Himalaya Drug Company and UB Group amongst others.

"With ITC, we are developing a range of personal care products, while for UB Group, we do the packaging and overall structural design of the bottles," Foley said.

The company is working on 15 projects of UB Group, he said without divulging any details.

Foley Designs is also developing packaging solutions for WalMart for its India business.
