The Federation of Indian Airlines, the group formed by various carriers, has appointed Amitabh Khosla from CII as executive director to head its secretariat and plans to have a director general later.
"We have taken in Amitabh Khosla from the Confederation of Indian Industry as executive director for FIA and are looking forward to gain from his experience," FIA Chairman and Air-India CMD V Thulasidas told PTI from Mumbai.
Khosla has been performing a similar role for the chamber as head of its National Civil Aviation committee and FIA would benefit from his expertise, he added.
Thulasidas also said FIA was also mulling over appointing senior and experienced person as its Director General, which would be carried out later.
"We wanted to appoint a director general also,
but it will be at a later stage. No timeframe has been set for that.
