Cisco Systems and Indian Computer Emergency Response Team on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding on IT security co-operation in the country.
As per the MoU, Cisco Systems and CERT-In will engage in co-operative activities in Internet security, including sharing of practices and issues regarding handling of software security vulnerabilities in networked information systems and training of chief information officers, a release said in Mumbai.
Both parties would also work together to address the increasing Internet security threats faced by critical information infrastructure through improving computer security readiness and raising awareness around importance of keeping systems and cyber infrastructure secure, software up-to-date and security practices and procedures current, it said.
"Our primary concern lies in ensuring a secure critical information infrastructure and computing environment in general for Indian enterprises including the government and citizens," CERT-In director Gulshan Rai said.Do you want to discuss stock tips?
