The company had sold a total of 885 vehicles during January 2012.
In January 2013, the sports utility vehicle Duster accounted for 3,554 units, sedan Scala 812 units, compact car Pulse 403 units, sedan Fluence 108 units and SUV Koleos 37 units, Renault India said in a statement.
Commenting on the numbers, Renault India executive director (marketing and sales) Sumit Sawhney said: "2012 was a year of growth for Renault India, with over 35,000 units sold across the nation as well as starting the export of the Duster. The new year is now all set to see us continue this drive with strong domestic sales in January."
Renault cars are produced at the manufacturing facility located in Oragadam, Chennai, with a capacity of 400,000 units per annum.
