Bangalore International Airport Limited on Thursday reported an annual passenger traffic figure of 11.24 million during 2010.
Passenger traffic in the last quarter was 3.06 million and on December 17, 2010 the airport handled 38,134 passengers, both of which are the highest-ever figures since the airport opened in May 2008, it said.
BIAL said it is looking to add two new international carriers every year. The focus would be on connecting Bangalore to South East Asia, China, Africa and the US, it said.

new airline that would begin operations from the airport here next month is Etihad Airlines to Abu Dhabi.
Thai Air Asia, Thai Tiger, DHL cargo, TNT cargo, China Southern and ANA airways have expressed interest to fly to Bengaluru in the near future, it said.
