Skoda Auto has launched a unique design contest for all budding designers of India.

Taking this opportunity to a new level, Škoda Auto India has announced a design contest for its all-new global car to be unveiled in India this year.

This will be its 2nd global premiere in India after the Kushaq (seen above in its camouflaged avatar).

The contest is open for all budding Indian designers to come up with a camouflage for Skoda's upcoming mid-size premium sedan.

The winner will have an opportunity to visit Skoda's global headquarters in Prague and meet the head of design.

The upcoming electric Škoda Enyaq iV SUV (above) is decked in striking green camouflage.

The ENYAQ iV will be unveiled later this year.

In 2017 a disguised Škoda Karoq set off on its world premiere in the Swedish capital of Stockholm, travelling over 1,500 kilometres across Europe in special grey-black-white camouflage.

In 2018 Škoda opted for a subtle camouflage for its Kodiaq RS, the sports version of the brand’s biggest SUV.

Before its premiere, the Kodiaq RS was driven around the famous Nordschleife of the Nürburgring by race driver Sabine Schmitz, who set a track record in the seven-seater SUV category.

At the end of 2018, a Škoda Scala appeared by the Lennon Wall in Prague just before its world premiere.

This served as a canvas for Czech street artist Chemis.

Here are a couple of paintings of camouflages for the Skoda Octavia by renowned artists from around the world.

The camouflage for Škoda Octavia was designed by Jakub Tytykalo, a Czech-born painter.

This display was created in Italy's breathtaking Tuscan landscape.

The above painting of the camo art was by Sicilian artist Carlo Alberto Giardina.

In addition to the above two, Maria Makeeva a Russian-born, Prague-based artist also made her rendition of the camouflage for the Octavia.

So what are you waiting for?

Entries to the contest will be open till August 18, 2021, and the top five entries shortlisted by the jury will be announced on August 23.

So go ahead and send your designs to Skoda India.

Participation is open to all individuals above 18 years of age.

Design studios, companies, universities, design students and design professionals from India can participate in the contest by registering and submitting their designs online on www.camowithskoda.com.
