The price increase will be effective from January 1 next year, the company said in a press release.
Prices would go up by about Rs 15,000 on an average and upto Rs 25,000 for some of the versions, the company said, adding that the prices of the Fiat Palio Stile will remain unchanged.
"Input material costs have gone up substantially and without wanting to burden our consumers too much, the cars will now be available with a price increase of 2-2.5 per cent.
The Linea and Grande Punto continue to be two of the most attractive propositions in their respective segments," Fiat, CEO and President, Rajeev Kapoor, said.
The company has sold more than 12,000 units of Linea since its launch in January this year and more than 9,000 units of Grande Punto since its launch in June, the company said.
