Nissan has unveiled a new avatar of its discontinued X-trail SUV at the 13th Auto Expo in Greater Noida.
This SUV was withdrawn from Nissan's line-up in India due to poor response from consumers.
This new Avatar of the X-trail comes now with a compoletely new 2.0 MR20DD petrol engine that produces 108 kW (147 PS/145 hp) and 207 Nm of torque and RM31 electric motor that generates 30 kW (41 PS/40 hp) and 160 Nm of torque.
Based on the CMF – C/d version of the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF (Common Module Family) platform, the Nissan X-Trail Hybrid is available exclusively in 5-seat seating configuration, and rivals the Honda CR-V and the Hyundai Santa Fe in India.
The Nissan X-Trail Hybrid measures 4,640 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width and 1,715 mm in height, and has a 2,705 mm long wheelbase.
The pricing for this SUV from Nissan would be high -- around Rs 32-35 lakh -- as this would be a CBU unit. Though Nissan has not yet confirmed the launch, it is expected to hit the roads in the second half of 2016.
