BMW has unveiled bold and beautiful cars - BMW 3 Series, 7 Series and X1 facelift - at the Auto Expo 2016.
Exterior changes on the facelifted BMW 3 Series include broader air intakes in new front aprons, revised central air intake, full-LED headlights, LED tail lights with “L” shape graphics and tweaked rear bumper.
Inside, the facelifted BMW 3 Series gets chrome accents on the centre console, HVAC vents and controls, and a new slider for the cup holders.
The 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder diesel engine is now equipped with the latest BMW TwinPower Turbo turbocharging technology and produces 140 kW (190 hp) and 400 Nm of torque.
The maximum power and maximum torque have been increased by 5 kW (6 hp) and 20 Nm respectively. The BMW 320d can reach from 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and go further to touch a top speed of 230 km/h. Petrol models will be launched later this year, BMW India has confirmed.
Announcing the facelifted model in May last year, the company said that the 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission has been revised for lesser carbon emissions.
The dampers have been revised, the suspension has been stiffened and the steering precision has been improved.

BMW 7 Series launched at Rs 1.11 crore
The base 7 Series variants are assembled in India at the Chennai plant.
The 2016 BMW 7 Series has been launched at the Auto Expo 2016.
The automaker’s flagship luxury sedan was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new 7 Series is based on the CLAR platform that is made from what BMW calls ‘Carbon Core’ technology.
The body is made from a combination of steel, aluminum and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP).
It has resulted in the car being 130 kg lighter than its predecessor, while simultaneously having improved levels of strength and rigidity.
For the Indian market, the 2016 BMW 7 Series is offered with the 4.4-liter TwinPower turbo V8 petrol developing 450 hp / 650 Nm of torque, or a 3.0-liter TwinPower turbo inline-6 diesel unit that pushes out 265 hp and 620 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, driving the rear wheels.

BMW India has unveiled the India-spec 2016 BMW X1 compact SUV at Auto Expo 2016.
It is available in four variants and is priced from Rs 29.9 lakhs to Rs 39.9 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the X1 M-Sport.
Following the footsteps of the old model, the new X1 is locally assembled at BMW’s factory in Chennai.
These measurements make it 36 mm shorter, 21 mm wider and 53 mm taller than its predecessor.
Changes on the outside include a larger pair of kidney grilles, optional LED headlamps, revised front bumper, redesigned alloys, different tail light LED cluster and modified rear bumper.
The interior is a step up from the previous generation and features a flowing dashboard design.
The instrument cluster features two analog dials with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel in front of it.
The iDrive infotainment system comes with a 6.5-inch free-standing display on the dashboard but can be extended to an optional 8.8-inch screen with Navigation Plus.
The BMW X1 will offer an all diesel lineup. The 2.0-liter TwinPower diesel engine produces 190 hp/400 Nm in the X1 sDrive20d variant.
It is paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and comes with an xDrive AWD system in the top-end grades.
