The process of upgradation of Delhi and Mumbai airports to international standards would be completed in the next two years, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Rajeev Pratap Rudy said on Thursday.

"I understand that in the next eight months from now, we will be able to finalise the plan for making the airport to the international standards and in the next two years, the process should be completed," he told reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of a duty free shop of the ITDC at the IGI airport in New Delhi on Thursday.

The exclusive ethnic Indian handicrafts boutique showcases the traditional arts and crafts from different parts of India.

The outlet will also serve a social objective in promoting and uplifting the cause of tribal and other artisans, ITDC officials said, adding the organisation has finalised the layout plans for a massive refurbishment of the main departure shop at the IGI airport.
