Sharjah Airport International Free Zone has invited Indian companies to set up businesses in the zone by taking advantage of a host of incentives provided by the UAE government.

Deputy director general of the SAIF-Zone Sheikh Saqer Al Qassemi said companies can have 100 per cent foreign ownership and repatriation of capital and profits.

The companies could also benefit from nil corporate or personal taxes and import and export duties besides having access to fast licensing and modern infrastructure facilities, Qassemi said at a seminar organised by Ficci in New Delhi.

He said UAE was the largest market for India's exports to the Middle East and that Indian companies can explore the whole region besides Africa and other parts of the world by establishing their hubs in the SAIF Zone.
