Air Arabia, the low-cost airline in West Asia and North Africa, will increase its frequency between Sharjah and Mumbai by an additional six flights per week.

The move is in response to increasing customer demand for summer travel to the Indian city, CEO of Air Arbia, Adel Ali said. The additional flights will be in operation until July 16.

The total number of flights to Mumbai will go up to 13 flights a week as result of the decision.

"The demand for seats to Mumbai has been overwhelming and in order to cope with this demand we have decided to operate additional flights to the destination. The additional flights shall be catering to the large number of families travelling to India for the summer holidays," Ali said.

The new flight has been included with no change in the existing schedule of the airline.
