The CBI on Tuesday sought two more days of custody of B Ramalinga Raju and four other accused in the Rs 7,800-crore (Rs 78-billion) accounting fraud case in Satyam Computer.

The designated CBI court hearing the case posted the matter for Wednesday.

At the end of seven-day custody of the accused, the CBI counsel informed the designated court that the agency is yet to complete the interrogation and wanted two more days of their custody.

Seeking extension of the custody of Raju brothers, Satyam's former CFO V Srinivas and former Price waterhouse auditors S Gopalakrishnan and T Srinivas, the CBI filed a petition to the XIV additional chief Metropolitan magistrate.

The judge observed that it was too late for urging for extension of custody and posted the arguments on the matter for Wednesday.

The defence lawyers of Raju brothers, Gopalakrishnan and T Srivivas have filed bail petitions which are likely to come for hearing on Wednesday.

The court has granted CBI seven days of custody of the accused from March 10.
