The US and Europe are at the forefront of trying to resolve the global economic crisis and are making progress towards prosperity again, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said.
The European countries are expected to play a leading role at the G-20 Summit in London on April 2.
Europe and the US "are at the forefront of trying to solve this problem and get our economy growing again, get people back to work, and have a sense that we're in this together and we're making progress towards prosperity again," Clinton told RTL-TVI, the top TV channel in French-speaking Belgium.
"The United States and Europe are working together. Of course there will be the big G-20 meeting in London in a few weeks. (British) Prime Minister Gordon Brown was meeting with President (Barack) Obama to talk about the agenda," she said, according to the transcript of the interview released in Washington.
