Reliance Industries has commenced crude oil production from its predominantly gas-rich eastern offshore Krishna Godavari basin D6 block.
"Oil flow started the-day-before-yesterday (September 17)," a source in the Reliance-Niko consortium, which operates the block, said.
Initial flow was about 200 barrels per day and the 'choke' will be fully opened to produce more, once the system stabilises, he said.
