Overall 62,336 units were sold in April, including 2,797 units of exports, the company said in a statement.
The sales growth was on the back of robust sales in the A2 segment comprising Alto, Wagon R, Zen Estillo and Swift, which together clocked 43,121 units as against 33,878 units in April last year, up 97.1 per cent.
During the month, the company's once bread and butter brand M800 saw a decline of 29.5 per cent at 4,458 units as against 6,324 units in April last year.
The A3 segment, comprising SX4 and Dzire sold a total of 4,187 units, as against 2,124 units in the same month last year, up 22.8 per cent.
MSI said exports registered a growth of 64.5 per cent during the month at 2,797 units as against 1,700 units in April last year.
