The average viewership ratings of matches have seen a staggering fall since the India vs Sri Lanka match that ended the country's cricket World Cup campaign.

According to aMap -- an agency that monitors TV viewership -- the average rating of 7.13 for the India-Sri Lanka match fell to 1.85 for the Australia-South Africa match on Saturday.

It plummeted to 0.9 for Sunday's Bermuda vs Bangladesh match, in which a win by Bermuda would have seen India through to the Super Eight stage.

With no India matches, Sony Set Max's market share amongst channels has taken a severe beating.

The channel share was at 17.08 per cent during the India-Bangladesh match and peaked to 18.57 per cent in the India vs Sri Lanka match. It halved to 9.6 per cent during the Australia vs South Africa match.
