In a bid to promote investments in Jammu and Kashmir, Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday proposed to extend the tax holiday enjoyed by the state's undertakings for another five years.
Undertakings in Jammu and Kashmir currently enjoy a tax holiday that is due to end on March 31, 2007.
Considering the importance of promoting investments in the state, Chidambaram proposed to extend the benefit for another five years up to March 31, 2012 in the Budget for 2007-08.
