On the back of record sales, the country's largest car maker
Maruti Udyog Ltd on Tuesday reported a 24.3 per cent jump in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 2007 at Rs 448.6 crore (Rs 4.48 billion) over January-March 2006.
The total income (net of excise) grew 36.6 per cent to Rs 4,634.7 crore (Rs 46.34 billion) during the quarter over the same period of the previous financial year, the company said in a statement.
