The Kerala government would file an appeal in the Supreme Court against the high court order quashing the ban on the sale and production of Coca-Cola and Pepsi, State Law Minister M Vijayakumar told the assembly on Monday.

Replying to a submission on the issue, Vijayakumar said the government banned the products as per law and it had not done anything illegal.

A division bench, comprising Chief Justice V K Bali and Justice M Ramachandran, on September 22, set aside the August 10 order of the state government banning the manufacture and sale of products of the two softdrinks' majors.
