RIL plans retail outlet in Ujjain

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries has purchased 74,000 square feet of prime land in Ujjain to set up its retail chain - Reliance Mart.

The land in front of the Grand Hotel in Ujjain, was purchased for Rs 16.21 crore (Rs 162.1 million) and the group has paid Rs 1.61 crore (Rs 16.1 million) as stamp duty and Rs 19 lakh as registration fee for the property, Ujjain Collector Neeraj Mandloi told PTI.

Reliance has drawn up an ambitious plan to set up Reliance Marts across the country to capitalise on India's burgeoning retail market.
