Paramount Airways will soon operate on the Chennai-Madurai sector. The airline will operate two flights everyday on this route.

Speaking to Business Standard, M Thiyagarajan, managing director, Paramount Airways, said with the delivery of the second Embraer aircraft, Paramount was all set to expand its operations.

"We plan to make Paramount the first choice for business and leisure travellers by offering full business class services at affordable fares. The focus is on the passenger's comfort," he added.

The new aircraft had three spacious galleys that provide adequate room for preparing and serving meals for the passengers, he said.

Airport sources said there could be some delay in the launch of the new services at Madurai as civil works were being carried out at the airport.

The airways might have to reschedule the timings, they added.
